Tagnic, huh? Umm. What?

Tagnic +tags work just like #hashtags except you give them to people instead of topics or events. Add a +tag (like +awesome) when you mention someone and it gets added to their Tagnic profile. Special combinations of tags will unlock pretty Badges (like Ubergeek, Rockstar, Sexbomb, etc.)!

That sounds pretty awesome! How do I use this thing?

Just add a +tag to your replies or retweets. It works via text message, iPhone, web...anywhere you can Twitter! Everyone with +tags has profile URL like this: http://playtagnic.com/twittername

So how do I do that, exactly?

If you've got a friend named @tagnic, you might tweet "@tagnic just bought me a +pony! He's +awesome!" and he'd get awesome and pony points.

Then what's with the badges?

You earn badges based on what tags you're getting, so if you've been tagged geeky things like +programmer and foodie things like +deepfried, you might get the Snack Hacker badge, for foodie geeks.

Here are some other badges, and how you can give them to your friends:

Do you have a list of awesome badges I could go see?

Do we ever! Check this out!

But what's the point?

Tagnic's for +fun and to be +social, but it's also about creating a Twitter identity and profile that's unique to you.

Can *anyone* give me tags and help me earn badges?

Yup, if you've signed in to Tagnic, we'll add +tags to your Tagnic profile whenever someone @mentions you on Twitter.

What are the Similar Users?

Similar Users are Tagnic users who have been tagged and badged similarly to you, but who you don't know on Twitter. But maybe you'd like to?

Why can't I change my Team's image?

You have to be a member of a team for 24 hours before you can upload a new image. (So that devious pirates don't join your team just to defame you.) So hone your Photoshop skills and check back tomorrow!

I just added a friend on Twitter, so why don't I see him/her on Tagnic?

Sometimes it can take a few mintes for Tagnic to see your new Twitter friends, but rest assured we're indexing all your tags, and your new friends should be visible momentarily.

Do you store my Twitter password?

Nope! You sign in using Twitter's authentication system, and they tell us who you are. If you want to change what applications have accees to you Twitter account, you can do so here: https://twitter.com/account/connections

Why can't I log in? I swear I entered my password right!

It's probably because you've logged in and out a bunch of times in a row. Twitter will lock you out, but just check back in a bit.

Who made this thing?

Tagnic was made by @socialbomb. We built Tagnic on top of our social mojo platform (well, it's not *really* called that). Want to build something with it, too? DM us!

I've got a question. / I think I broke something! / Was *that* supposed to happen?

Sure, probably not, and almost certainly not, in that order. If you need help, DM @tagnic and we'll reply as soon as we can!

Why is there a badger in your logo?

He's the Badge Badger, and he brings fresh badges for the earning every couple of weeks. (Also, oddly enough, Tagnic was codenamed Badger.)
